If I had to describe my approach to art or design in one word, it would be “exploration.” It’s rare that I will reuse one idea or style for multiple projects. Instead, I find new ideas to try by constantly reflecting on and dissecting my previous work. I love working with bright, saturated colors. One of my favorite aspects of the creative process is playing with different color schemes in order to see how they might affect the tone or mood of a piece. My earliest introductions to art were the vibrant, explorative cartoons of the early 2000s. They were so strange and unique, but also fun and accessible. They filled me with a sense of wonder, and I personally believe the color choices were a major part of that experience. As a result, using color in this manner connects me to my inspirations and helps me to inject some fun into my work.
