If you were to ask 8th grade Brady Barton what she wanted to be when she grew up, the furthest answer in her head would’ve been an Artist. She’d give you almost any answer under the sun than that: Radiologist, Brain Surgeon, Detective, Princess, Fashion Designer, and Politician. It turns out that in reality, she was always drawn to one thing they had in common, problem solving. Today, as a Graphic Designer, there is nothing quite like those, “Ah Ha!” moments. When you finally get hit with the perfect solution to the design you’ve slaved over for weeks; it’s what I imagine getting a break in a cold case feels like. Graphic Design is a world of possibilities, and it allows me to constantly try new things, crack new codes, and help new people. Each project has a unique set of challenges to overcome, and are all approached differently. All of these works here are uniquely mine. They all have a special little piece of my personality mixed in. Some are spunky, others bold; some follow strict sets of rules, and others are more playful. This mix of pieces here today, when viewed as a whole, will give you a pretty good picture of the person 8th grade Brady turned out to be. And I personally think she’s pretty rad.
